Other interesting information

There are many appealing fruits that are not edible but the cocoplum is unlike those.  It is said to have a sweet flavor but can be made into a jelly or a butter. 

Here in its native lands cocoplums are wonderful and pretty sights and uses for many benefits but in some other countries its not the same and can induce harm to other ecosystems.

Red tip cocoplum and green tip cocoplum are two different types of common cocoplum which determine the color of the leaves and the fruit of the cocoplum.  The red tip cocoplum has a pinkish color while the green tip cocoplum has a green color.
